Normal spliced primary lines have loops at each end which were designed for use with ‘hard attach’ blocks like the Harken 16mm ‘air’ blocks. For ‘soft attach’ blocks such as Harken’s Carbo Blocks we have introduced single ended primary lines. One end has the usual loop for attaching to a hard fixing (for example the boom end eye) – the other end is free so you can tie it onto a ‘soft attach’ block.
