A 6:1 downhaul/Cunningham system gives sufficient purchase for the 4.7/Radial and Standard Mk1 rigs. We offer systems using Allen, Ronstan and Harken blocks. Secondary lines include Robline Dinghy Control and Polytech, and the premium Marlow GP78 which is a harder wearing line. More information on the secondary control lines that we use for our systems can be found here.
Start by selecting the block type for your downhaul system and use the drop down menus to select the secondary control line type, colour, length, and rig that you want your system optimsed for. If you are in any doubt as to which system/option is right for you please refer to our Downhaul Systems Guide page which will take you through the system types and options available. Please note that if you are using the Standard MkII sail we recommend our more powerful 8:1 downhaul system.
System options (at the bottom of the page) allow the primary line to terminated at the top of the kicker assembly. This can be useful if you are using a braided chain handle and want to avoid having to tie/untie your handle when rigging. It is also an easy way of re-configuring your rig one the water if you want to rig your system on one side of the boom.
