Primary lines with attached block to be used as one part of a 6:1 or 8:1 downhaul system. Primary line is Dyneema® SK78 and is sized according to the block type, leaving just enough space to attach a 4mm secondary line through the centre, and is available with a choice of colour. Note that you may need to ‘tease’ the secondary through by attaching tape to it. To build a full 6:1 or 8:1 system you need to add a lower block at the kicker level.
The length of the primary lines are selectable. As the tack cringle on the new MkII standard sail is considerably higher than the MkI standard/Radial and 4.7 sail we will optimise the primary line length to the sail that you use, and where you attach the end (kicker tang level or top of kicker assembly).
The primary line length is set so the top block sits at approx. boom height in the ‘released off’ position to help avoid the blocks getting caught in the gooseneck. If you want your block to sit higher or lower just ask. Start by selecting the block type for your downhaul primary and use the drop down menus to select the line colour, length depending on your sail type, and where you want to terminate the end:
